If'n that don't look just like a studio.Spotted over at Thig Nat's Physics blog.

After doing some digging, Nate - who got name-checked in the positive on the pound-for-pound Seattle anthem goes by 'New Balance', I guess. Not as good: Nate as New Balance's track with local emcee Wizdom. Old LQ video of that - 'Valley of Rain' - after the jump. I remember hearing that on the radio. Had no idea it was Nate, who has way better stage presence than Wiz in the clip. Guess performing in front of 60K most Sundays will chase off some jitters. Stay healthy, kid!

Here's a Mother's Day piece from the Times that starts with the Burleson boys that I read in the literal paper while wearing my fedora and sipping an egg cream.

I forget that Nate's only 26. Hope he has a great year; last time, he was the first domino.

• You can be an 18-year-old NFL cheerleader. You can't be an 18-year-old NFL player. I guess that makes sense, but for some reason it's a little mind-blowing. Just never thought about it before.
• You only get a minute to try out? Wow, that's gotta be a horrible feeling. I don't know of anything I can do for a minute that I feel confident about after stopping. [Derail: I think I should be able to use the word 'Pause' here, and 'pause' in this and all scenarios should just refer to something sexual, like 'that's what she said', as opposed to being all homophobic.]
• There are pre-audition workshops, which seems really thoughtful, and yet "You will need a black sleeveless bra top of your own to go with the shorts." Does every lady own a black sleeveless bra top? Is that a staple of the dancer's wardrobe?
